Stampede Hides was born in 2021 during an ice storm in Portland, Oregon. Stranded by the weather and driven by creativity, the founder did what she has done her entire life as a designer—she started making.

Whether creating an aesthetic or inventing something entirely new, she has always been hands-on, detail-obsessed, and uncompromising about quality. A self-proclaimed perfectionist with a clear point of view, she expects designs to live up to her vision. Her long-standing love for cowhides—their natural beauty, individuality, and timeless appeal—had been quietly waiting for the right outlet.

For years, she searched for cowhide golf headcovers and bags that felt special, unique, and enduring. When she couldn’t find what she envisioned, she decided to make them herself. On that cold, icy day, the idea became reality.

Obsessed with fit and finish, she created multiple patterns and sewed countless prototypes until every detail felt just right. But the process didn’t stop there. Knowing life doesn’t pause on or off the course, she designed the Mini Satchel—a thoughtfully sized bag to carry essentials like a phone, golf glove, and lip gloss, effortlessly moving from course to everyday life.

And as a wine connoisseur, one final piece felt essential: a beautiful, functional way to transport wine. Thus, the Wine Carrier came to life.

Stampede Hides is rooted in nostalgia, craftsmanship, and timeless design—made to be used, loved, and gifted. Each piece celebrates individuality, quality, and the beauty of well-made things.
